"The Babylon Project was our last, best hope for peace: a
self-contained world five miles long located in neutral territory,
a place of commerce and diplomacy for a quarter of a million humans
and aliens, a shining beacon in space, all alone in the night.
It was the dawn of the Third Age of Mankind, the year the Great
War came upon us all.
This is the story of the last of the Babylon stations. The year
is 2259. The name of the place is Babylon 5."
-- Commander John Sheridan's opening narrative, Season Two
%%
"The last time I make personal contact with a Minbari warship I sent
it straight to Hell."
-- Sheridan, "Points of Departure"
%%
"As far as I'm concerned, the transports can wait until the sun explodes.
And if you're not happy with the seating arrangements, I will personally
order your seats moved outside, down the hall, across the station, and
into the fusion reactor. Am I absolutely, perfectly clear on this?"
-- Ivanova, "Points of Departure"
%%
"I can only conclude that I'm paying off karma at a vastly accelerated rate."
-- Ivanova, "Points of Departure"
%%
"It's amazing what two years on the rim can do to you."
-- Sheridan, "Points of Departure"
%%
"Ambassador Delenn is in a cocoon."
'A cocoon? As in a moth or a butterfly?'
"Yes, sir. About yea high."
-- Ivanova and Sheridan, "Points of Departure"
%%
"I'll say a prayer for him tonight."
'He's agnostic.'
"Then I'll say half a prayer."
-- Ivanova and Dr. Franklin (re: Garibaldi), "Points of Departure"
%%
"The day that a man such as yourself is given a position of this
importance is a dark day indeed. We lost many of our best warriors
because of you. And we do not soon forget such things. If there is
a doom on this station, it is because you brought it here."
-- Hedronn (to Sheridan), "Points of Departure"
%%
"They're a prideful people and the BLACKSTAR was their flagship."
'That's why it make a good target.'
-- Ivanova and Sheridan (re: the Minbari), "Points of Departure"
%%
"It was the only real victory we had in the whole damn war, and I am not
about to apologize for it!"
-- Sheridan (re: the BLACKSTAR), "Points of Departure"
%%
"If you are going to kill me, then do so. Otherwise I have considerable
work to do."
-- Lennier (to Kalain), "Points of Departure"
%%
"Everyone knows Minbari do not kill Minbari."
'Then why are you here?'
"Perhaps everyone is wrong."
-- Kalain and Sheridan, "Points of Departure"
%%
"They fight bravely. They cannot harm our ships, but they continue to try."
'Whether they fight or not, they know they will die anyway. So really, is
this bravery or simple desperation?'
"Perhaps they are the same thing."
-- Delenn and Hedronn, "Points of Departure"
%%
"It is our belief that every generation of Minbari is reborn in each
following generation. Remove those souls, and the whole suffers. We are
diminished. Over the last two thousand years, there have been fewer
Minbari born into each generation. And those who are born do not seem
equal to those who came before. It almost as if our greater souls have
been disappearing. At the Battle of the Line, we discovered where our
souls were going. They were going to you. Minbari souls are being reborn,
in part or in full, in human bodies."
-- Lennier, "Points of Departure"
%%
'So you stopped the war in order to avoid harming your own souls?'
"Yes, but the Council knew that our people, and yours, were not ready for
this information. It could unravel our entire society. So we could not
tell our generals the reason for the surrender. We had all memory of
the examination erased from Sinclair's mind, and we let him go. It has
been our secret. Now it is yours. It must be kept."
-- Lennier and Ivanova, "Points of Departure"
%%
"Then why break the silence now? Why tell us?"
'Because changes are coming. Commander Sinclair was the first. There
will be more.'
-- Ivanova and Lennier, "Points of Departure"
%%
"The war has already begun, Captain. All that remains now is honor
and death."
-- Deeron, "Points of Departure"
%%
"And I thought I was a pessimist."
-- Ivanova, "Points of Departure"
%%
"I told them, Delenn, as I was ordered. I only wish I could have told
them the rest - about the great enemy that is returning and the prophecy
that the two sides of our spirit must unite against the darkness or be
destroyed. They say it will take both of our races to stop the darkness.
I am told that the Earthers will discover all this, soon enough, on their
own. I hope they are right. Because if we are wrong, no one will survive
our mistake."
-- Lennier, "Points of Departure"
%%
"It was an early earth president, Abraham Lincoln, who best described our
situation. 'The dogmas of the quiet past are inadequate to the stormy
present. The occasion is piled high with difficulty, and we must rise to
the occasion. We cannot escape history. We will be remembered in spite of
ourselves. The fiery trial through which we pass will light us down in
honor or dishonor, to the last generation. We shall nobly save, or meanly
lose, or last best hope for Earth.'"
-- Sheridan, "Points of Departure"
%%
"Ambassador Delenn remains indisposed."
'Indisposed? She's in a cocoon.'
"Yes."
-- Lennier and Londo, "Revelations"
%%
"The Narns will never be able to prove it was done at your instigation.
and, based on your promise to take care of it, your government accepts
your responsibility without question or hesitation. Perfect symmetry.
I believe that this little demonstration will bring you some very
interesting propositions."
-- Morden (to Londo), "Revelations"
%%
"Why don't you eliminate the entire Narn homeworld while you're at it?"
'One thing at a time, Ambassador. One thing at a time.'
-- Londo and Morden, "Revelations"
%%
"Weep for the future, Na'Toth, Weep for us all."
-- G'Kar, "Revelations"
%%
"I have looked into the darkness, Na'Toth. You cannot do that and ever be
quite the same again. When you told me about the destruction of our base
in Quadrant 37, I knew that only a major power could attempt an assault
of that magnitude, but none of the governments here could have done it,
which left only two possibilities: a new race, or an old race - a very
old race.
-- G'Kar, "Revelations"
%%
"G'Quan spoke of a great war long ago against an enemy so terrible, it nearly
overwhelmed the stars themselves. G'Quan said that before that enemy was
thrown down, it dwelled in a system at the rim of known space."
-- G'Kar, "Revelations"
%%
"On dark deserted worlds, where there should be no life, where no living
thing has walked in over a thousand years, something is moving, gathering
its forces, quietly, quietly...hoping to go unnoticed. We must warn the
others, Na'Toth. After a thousand years, the darkness has come again."
-- G'Kar, "Revelations"
%%
"What's up, Doc?"
-- Garibaldi, "Revelations"
%%
"Mollari, the grievances between my people and yours will never be resolved
except with Centauri blood. Accept that as a given."
'Well, its good to know we're appreciated.'
-- G'Kar and Londo, "Revelations"
%%
"I am not ill, doctor. What I have become, what I suffer, requires you alone."
-- Delenn (to Dr. Franklin), "Revelations"
%%
"...which leads me to believe that the ancient race described in our holy
books may have returned. If true, this holds grave danger for all of us."
-- G'Kar, "Revelations"
%%
"And if someone is living there?"
'Then all our races stand on the end of extinction.'
-- Sheridan and G'Kar (re: Z'ha'dum), "Revelations"
%%
"Look if I were you, I'd start talking straight because right now
you're in a whole world of trouble."
'You don't even know what trouble is... but you're gonna find out...
real soon.'
-- Garibaldi and Jack, "Revelations"
%%
"They put you in an airlock, seal it, and then open the space door. You
spend the next five minutes chewing vacuum until your lungs turn
inside-out, your eyeballs freeze, and your heart explodes. It's the
worst kind of death you can imagine. And when that day comes, I'll be
there to push the button."
-- Garibaldi (re: spacing), "Revelations"
%%
"Be seeing you."
-- Garibaldi's aide/Jack, "Revelations"
%%
"When a warship jumps to normal space, it's briefly out of contact because
of the energy drain. It might have been attacked during that period. But
that couldn't happen unless...unless they knew the ship was coming and were
waiting for it. But no one knew, except..."
-- G'Kar, "Revelations"
%%
"Ambassador Sinclair has been allowed to live on my world as an act of
good faith, to create a greater understanding between Minbari and humans.
In return, I have undergone this change with the blessings of my
government, so that I may become a bridge between our worlds, in the hope
that we will never know war between us again."
-- Delenn, "Revelations"
%%
"I trust her as much as I trust any telepath, but she's still Psi Corps."
-- Garibaldi (re: Talia Winters), "Revelations"
%%
"Now Jack didn't admit anything, but he did say that the Homeguard wasn't
behind President Santiago's assassination. But what if it was the Psi
Corps? What if they wanted someone in office who was sympathetic to the
Corps? Right before Earth Force 1 exploded, the Vice-President got off at
Mars, saying he had the flu. Pretty convenient, isn't it?"
-- Garibaldi, "Revelations"
%%
"Things have changed, Na'Toth, and they will never be the same. But we are
Narns. We have learned to cope with change - to triumph in the face of
adversity. We will overcome this as well. We have no other choice."
-- G'Kar, "Revelations"
%%
"Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold.
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world.
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere,
The ceremony of innocence is drowned.
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches toward Bethlehem to be born?"
-- G'Kar, "Revelations"
%%
"Gets cold up here sometimes, doesn't it, Lieutenant Commander?"
'Yes sir. It does indeed.'
-- Sheridan and Ivanova, "Revelations"
%%
"We used to have them back home long ago. They use science to achieve the
effect of magic. I haven't seen one in years. They almost never travel.
They don't like to leave their places of power. To see even one of them
is a rare thing. To see more than one at a time is considered a very
bad omen."
[3 mages walk by]
"Three...this is definitely not good."
-- Londo (re: technomages), "The Geometry of Shadows"
%%
"The universe doesn't give you any points for doing things that are easy."
-- Sheridan to Garibaldi, "The Geometry of Shadows"
%%
"You can start by helping me understand the precise nature of conflict
between the two sides that you've set up."
'Green.'
`Purple.`
"No, I understand that there are two factions, but what is your point of
contention? Where do you disagree with each other?"
`Purple.`
'Green.'
-- Ivanova, Purple Drazi, and Green Drazi, "The Geometry of Shadows"
%%
"You don't frighten easily."
'I work for Ambassador Mollari. After a while nothing bothers you.'
-- Elric and Vir, "The Geometry of Shadows"
%%
"Do not try the patience of wizards, for they are suttle and quick to anger."
-- Elric to Vir, "The Geometry of Shadows"
%%
"If it gets too bad I'll just gnaw it off at the ankle."
-- Ivanova, "The Geometry of Shadows"
%%
"Every day you here create greater miracles than the burning bush."
'Maybe. But God was there first and He didn't need solar batteries and a
fusion reactor to do it.'
"Perhaps, perhaps not."
-- Elric and Sheridan, "The Geometry of Shadows"
%%
"We are dreamers, shapers, singers, and makers. We study the mysteries
of laser and circuit, crystal and scanner, holographic demons and
invocations of equations. These are the tools we employ, and we know
many things."
'Such as?'
"The true secrets. The important things. Fourteen words to make someone fall
in love with you forever, seven words to make them go without pain, how
to say good-bye to a friend who is dying, how to be poor, how to be
rich, how to rediscover dreams when the world has stolen them from you.
-- Elric and Sheridan, "The Geometry of Shadows"
%%
"There is a storm coming, a black and terrible storm. We would not have our
knowledge lost, or used to ill purpose. From this place, we will launch
ourselves into the stars. With luck, you will never see our kind again in
your lifetime. I know you have your orders, Captain. Detain us if you wish,
but I cannot tell you where we're going. I can only ask you to trust us."
-- Elric, "The Geometry of Shadows"
%%
"Wait a minute. You're saying just because I'm holding this right now, I'm
green leader? But I'm human."
'Rules of combat older than contact with other races. Did not mention
aliens. Rules change caught up in committee. Not come through yet.'
-- Ivanova and Green Drazi, "The Geometry of Shadows"
%%
"I know this place and everyone on it intimately."
'I beg your pardon.'
-- Garibaldi and Ivanova, "The Geometry of Shadows"
%%
S: "So in other words, you're perfect for the job because you're paranoid
and compulsive."
F: "Or compulsively paranoid."
G: "Who told you to say that?"
-- Sheridan, Dr. Franklin, and Garibaldi, "The Geometry of Shadows"
%%
"I'm afraid you're going to have to spend the rest of your life paying for
your mistakes."
-- Elric (to Londo), "The Geometry of Shadows"
%%
"You are touched by darkness, Ambassador. I see it as a blemish that will
grow with time. I could warn you, of course, but you would not listen. I
could kill you, but someone would take your place. So, I do the only
thing I can. I go."
-- Elric (to Londo), "The Geometry of Shadows"
%%
"As I look at you, Ambassador Mollari, I see a great hand reaching out of
the stars. The hand is your hand and I hear sounds - the sounds of
billions of people calling your name."
'My followers?'
"Your victims."
-- Elric and Londo, "The Geometry of Shadows"
%%
"There's the story she told us, but then the Minbari never tell you the
whole truth."
-- Sheridan, "A Distant Star"
%%
"Things can get kind of weird out on the rim, too. It's funny. You never
know what you're going to find when you look over the edge of what's
known and into what's not."
-- Maynard, "A Distant Star"
%%
"I am more 'one of us' at this moment, than I have ever been. More than you
will ever know."
-- Delenn (to Teronn), "A Distant Star"
%%
"Understanding is not required. Only obedience."
-- Delenn (to Teronn), "A Distant Star"
%%
"Figures. All my life, I've fought against imperialism. Now, suddenly, I
*am* the expanding Russian frontier."
'But with very nice borders.'
-- Ivanova and Dr. Franklin, "A Distant Star"
%%
"The adventure is out there, Jack. Man has to go meet it."
'Well, sometimes it comes to you. Wait for it Johnny.'
-- Sheridan and Maynard, "A Distant Star"
%%
"If the primates that we came from had known that someday politicians
would come out of the...the gene pool, they'd a stayed up in the trees
and written evolution off as a bad idea. Hell, I always thought the
opposable thumb was overrated."
-- Sheridan, "A Distant Star"
%%
"An old friend of mine once quoted me a ancient Egyptian blessing: 'God
be between you and harm, and all the empty places where you must walk.'"
-- Sheridan, "A Distant Star"
%%
"The universe puts us in places where we can learn. They are never easy
places, But they are right. Wherever we are is the right place at the
right time. The pain that sometimes comes. It is part of the process
of constantly being born."
'You sound like you've been doing some thinking about this on your own.'
"Perhaps. We are both, I suppose, going through transitions. But the
universe knows what it's doing."
-- Delenn and Sheridan, "A Distant Star"
%%
"I will tell you a great secret, Captain. Perhaps the greatest of all
time. The molecules of your body are the same molecules that make up
this station, and the nebula outside, that burn inside the stars
themselves. We are starstuff, we are the universe, made manifest, trying
to figure itself out. As we have both learned, sometimes the universe
requires a change of perspective."
-- Delenn (to Sheridan), "A Distant Star"
%%
Z: "As for what it was, I don't know. There was just this feeling that
something dark and dangerous had gone by. You know that feeling like
somebody just walked on your grave? That's the only way I can describe
it."
M: "This feeling that something's out there, you just never forget it."
Z: "I want to know what it is."
I: "I'm sure we'll find out one of these days."
-- Warren Keffer, Captain Jack Maynard, and Ivanova, "A Distant Star"
%%
"You think that's good, wait until dessert."
'Well now, wait a minute. I didn't authorize dessert.'
"No? Then you can't have any."
'What is it?'
"Doesn't matter, you're not getting any."
-- Garibaldi and Dr. Franklin, "A Distant Star"
%%
"Ever had a long talk with Ambassador Delenn, Commander?"
'From time to time. Why?'
"She and the universe seem to have a special relationship."
'Don't we all?'
-- Ivanova and Sheridan, "A Distant Star"
%%
"Where are you? There you are! There you are! I see you..."
-- Amis (while looking out a port), "The Long Dark"
%%
"Hear me O Lord and the rest of you miserable sinners and you non-humanoid
types. Judgment Day is coming and it don't care what you look like. And
I have seen it. An army of darkness, soldiers of the devil, something like
that. We're all in great danger. A pox upon this station."
-- Amis, "The Long Dark"
%%
"I have walked in the valley of -"
'Good! Keep on walking.'
-- Amis and G'Kar, "The Long Dark"
%%
"You, with the hair."
'Oh, jeez.'
-- Amis and Londo, "The Long Dark"
%%
"Were you in the war?"
'No, I missed it.'
"He didn't."
'How do you know?'
"I've had that same dream."
-- Garibaldi and Guard, "The Long Dark"
%%
"You were about to accuse the Centauri Ambassador of being in league with
the devil. Which might not be far from the truth."
-- Garibaldi (to Amis), "The Long Dark"
%%
"You were standing in the middle of the plaza yelling that the day of
judgment was coming."
'Did it?'
"Not that I know, but I may have missed a staff meeting."
-- Garibaldi and Amis, "The Long Dark"
%%
"Lousy way to die, huh?"
'Last I checked there weren't too many good ways.'
-- Garibaldi and Sheridan, "The Long Dark"
%%
"It's gonna take a lot more than a hundred years to evole a better human."
-- Dr. Franklin, "The Long Dark"
%%
"Take my advice and go back to the time you came from. The future isn't
what it used to be."
-- G'Kar, "The Long Dark"
%%
"You're all going to die. A soldier of darkness has come on that ship
from the past. I have seen it. Don't close your eyes. Don't sleep.
It'll find you."
-- Amis, "The Long Dark"
%%
"She has brought something evil from the past...a soldier of darkness."
-- Markab Ambassador, "The Long Dark"
%%
"The forces of darkness do not move openly. They work through others. Use
others. When the darkness was defeated long ago, they scattered, hid
themselves away in secret places, and waited. Now, the dark hand is
reaching out and recalling them from their sleep."
-- Markab Ambassador, "The Long Dark"
%%
"Evil sometimes wears a pleasant face."
-- Markab Ambassador, "The Long Dark"
%%
"We set up camp in old ruins of some kind. As far as we knew, it was a dead
world. It came in the night, during a storm. We heard nothing, saw nothing.
It came right through the walls, like a hot wind. The first man died, just
meters from me - never even screamed. We ran... we ran. For a second, I
thought I lost it, and then I saw it. Standing in the middle of a ball of
lightning. It looked like it had come straight from hell."
-- Amis, "The Long Dark"
%%
"How did you survive?"
'I didn't! It kept me alive. As a snack.'
-- Garibaldi and Amis, "The Long Dark"
%%
"You got a plan?"
'Let's try not to get killed.'
"Brilliant."
-- Ivanova and Sheridan, "The Long Dark"
%%
"Don't make promises life won't let you keep."
-- Mariah, "The Long Dark"
%%
"You said the ship was reprogrammed to a new destination. So where was
it going?"
'It was heading for the rim. Toward the exact place where Ambassador
G'Kar told us an ancient enemy was gathering its forces.'
-- Sheridan and Ivanova, "The Long Dark"
%%
"Something's going on, Commander."
'I know. And between you and me. It's scaring the hell out of me.'
-- Sheridan and Ivanova, "The Long Dark"
%%
"With all due respect Senator. My duties as commander of B5 don't
include spying on civilians."
'These are volatile times, Captain. Practicality is more important
than principles, if lives are to be saved. I'll expect to hear
from you soon.'
-- Sheridan and Senator Elise Voudreau, "A Spider in the Web"
%%
"We finally broke the language barrier and introduced ourselves. And I was
invited aboard their ship. It was incredible. I'd never seen so much space
on a starship and the T'Kar themselves. So unlike any other species we'd
encountered. Spent two days with them and what I learned in that time made
me realize just how wondrous this galaxy of ours really is."
-- Sheridan, "A Spider in the Web."
%%
"Taro Isogi spent his life improving the lives of others. He built a business
based on that principle, and he never broke a rule or harmed another to do
it. Mars was his dream, Captain, now he's been murdered for it, and you're
trying to cast the blame on him."
-- Talia Winters, "A Spider in the Web"
%%
T: "I'm also tired and I hurt. May I go back to my quarters now?"
S: "Yes, I'll arrange for an escort."
[before Sheridan can call]
G: "One escort at your service."
-- Talia Winters, Sheridan, and Garibaldi, "A Spider in the Web"
%%
"You know how I feel about telepaths."
'Do I ever. You threw one out of a third story window in Io.'
"There was an ample pool below the window."
'I'll assume you knew that.'
-- Ivanova and Sheridan, "A Spider in the Web"
%%
"Telepaths are gifted and cursed in ways I can never hope to understand.
But they're still human beings - good, bad, or indifferent. No...I
trust in individuals, not organizations."
'Then you may trust Miss Winters.'
-- Sheridan and Ivanova, "A Spider in the Web"
%%
"Tea just happens to be my third favorite thing in the universe."
-- Garibaldi, "A Spider in the Web"
%%
"The theory was to 'hard-wire' the subject's brain with a computer
intelligence that kept the brain functional while the body was repaired.
Then, using telepathic deep scan, the subject was fixated on the moment
of his death, shutting down all conscious thought. The computer takes
complete control, while the subject is dying over and over again in his
subconscious."
-- Sheridan (re: Project Lazarus), "A Spider in the Web"
%%
"Ours now. All ours."
-- Thirteen/Psi Cop, "A Spider in the Web"
%%
"Mars will never be free until the sands run red with Earther blood."
-- Abel Horn, "A Spider in the Web"
%%
"For the past six years, there have been rumors about a...rogue agency
operating deep inside Earth Gov. A dirty tricks squad dealing in black
projects and Star Chamber justice. It took me over three years just to
get the name: Bureau 13. And the man who gave me that name died soon
after. I am convinced they exist and that they are behind this
incident."
-- Sheridan, "A Spider in the Web"
%%
"There is a spider in the web, Mr. Garibaldi, and I intend to find it...
and kill it."
-- Sheridan, "A Spider in the Web"
%%
"Thirteen."
'Report from Babylon 5 control mission only partly successful. Isogi
terminated but unit was destroyed before he could leave station
for Mars.'
"Is the bureau at hazard?"
'Control does not believe so.'
"Belief is not enough. He is to follow up until he is certain. Thirteen out."
-- Thirteen/Psi Cop and Computer Voice, "A Spider in the Web"
%%
"I'm here to pick up some women."
'You'll have better luck at bars.'
-- Vir and Garibaldi, "Soul Mates"
%%
"You know him?"
'Only in the most unpleasant sense. I was married to him.'
-- Garibaldi and Talia Winters (re: Matthew Stoner), "Soul Mates"
%%
"I won't bite, Vir."
'With all due respect, madam. That's not what I've heard.'
"Alright, that *one* time."
'It was...it was twice.'
-- Timov and Vir, "Soul Mates"
%%
"Daggair! My, what a surprise."
'A pleasant one?'
"I wouldn't go that far."
-- Timov and Daggair, "Soul Mates"
%%
"Timov, Timov. Why do you always try to draw me into your little verbal
fencing matches?"
'Because I don't have a real sword handy.'
-- Daggair and Timov, "Soul Mates"
%%
"How long were you married?"
'Just long enough to realize it was a mistake.'
-- Sheridan and Talia Winters, "Soul Mates"
%%
"People seem to be implying that I shouldn't get too comfortable."
'Oh nonsense. It's not as if anyone expects you to...oh...vanish overnight
under mysterious circumstances to a strange Minbari post. Why that would
be unprecedented in this station's history.'
-- Sheridan and G'Kar, "Soul Mates"
%%
"Ah, my good Captain Sheridan, all settled in?"
'All settled, Ambassador.'
-- Londo and Sheridan, "Soul Mates"
%%
"And my dear G'Kar, how are you this glorious day?"
'We're in a space station, Ambassador. One day is much like another.'
-- Londo and G'Kar, "Soul Mates"
%%
"Who does Londo think he is to keep us sitting about?"
'He probably thinks he's our husband and that we as dutiful wives will
wait with breathless anticipation for his arrival.'
-- Timov and Daggair, "Soul Mates"
%%
"Your problem Timov, is that you've never known your place."
'My place? You once threatened to break a vase over his head.'
"Well now, that was the impetuousness of youth."
'That was last month.'
-- Daggair and Timov, "Soul Mates"
%%
"Where have you been?"
'Affairs of State, my dear.'
"State of inebriation I'd wager."
-- Timov and Londo, "Soul Mates"
%%
"The secret of our marriage's success, Londo, is our lack of communication."
-- Timov, "Soul Mates"
%%
"Now, the Emperor is a busy fellow, of course, no time to shop. Unlike my
beloved wives who always find the time to run up my credit accounts.
In any event, he wished to give me a gift in honor of my service to our
people and the gift he gave me was...any one wish within his power to
grant."
'And what was your wish, my sweet?'
"A *divorce*! An easement from the arranged marriages to my three wives."
-- Londo and Daggair, "Soul Mates"
%%
"So if I'm feeling insecure, hugging you will make me feel better?"
-- Matthew Stoner (to Garibaldi), "Soul Mates"
%%
"I can help you with the big words if you're having trouble."
-- Matthew Stoner (to Garibaldi), "Soul Mates"
%%
"Would you like me to tell you all about her? What she likes to hear. Where
she likes to be touched."
'Don't push it.'
"The little noises she makes. Does she cry out or sigh softly."
-- Matthew Stoner and Garibaldi (re: Talia Winters), "Soul Mates"
%%
"I'll be keeping an eye on you."
'Use both eyes, you'll need them.'
-- Garibaldi and Matthew Stoner, "Soul Mates"
%%
"Mariel is drawn to men of power in that same way. But trust me, she
burns them."
-- Londo (to Sheridan), "Soul Mates"
%%
"Londo, I'm not like the others, you know that. I've always been
forgiving, passionate. Goodness knows I've been passionate. Noone

"What happens is that we honor the memory of those who are no longer with
us by using what we have learned to save others. To exercise faith,
patience, charity. To reach out to those who are afraid. If we can do
that, then their passing will have had meaning and we will grow from it."
